Student Opportunities

Political Science majors have numerous opportunities to enhance their critical thinking, reasoning and research skills beyond the classroom. You will have the opportunity to engage in research beyond the classroom, internships, study abroad programs and a variety of student organizations. For example, nearly 40 Clemson students participate in Model UN conferences across the nation and abroad each year. In the past three years, more than 40 political science students have traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress, their staff and senior American and Chinese diplomats. Each summer, a dozen students travel to the former Yugoslavia to learn firsthand about the aftermath of ethnic violence and civil war.

Dr. Brandon Turner and Dr. Zeynep Taydas advise the Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha.
