The Clinical Learning and Research Center (CLRC) in the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences is housed in Edwards Hall and includes both the Learning Resource Center and the Clinical Learning Center. Although it has been in existence since the early 1970s, it celebrated a re-opening after a complete renovation in the fall of 2005. The renovation project established a collaborative partnership in designing and in constructing the new CLRC between the Clemson University Schools of Nursing and Architecture and Health.
The CLRC addresses issues that are significant to the university, the state, and the nation. The Center is responsive to the university’s goals and priorities as Clemson continues to be one of top public research institutions in the nation.
The CLRC enables students to learn in an environment that fosters excellence in teaching and learning at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Before graduation, student nurses take part in Senior Simulation, an experience in which students are tested on their nursing abilities through a series of patient care scenarios in the school’s Clinical Learning and Research Center at Edwards Hall, which replicates a state-of-the-art hospital setting.
