- Employee has freedom to choose/change carriers
- Employee will not be required to carry two devices
- Rate discounts will apply to family plans
- Employee phone records will not become private record
- Employee and CCIT will not be liable for taxes
- CCIT should see reduce fees for cell service due to ‘smarter’ distribution of devices
Cons
- Employee is responsible for the bill, damage, and/or replacement
- University will no longer be able to service phones and blackberries
- Hassle of migration
