  • Employee has freedom to choose/change carriers
  •  Employee will not be required to carry two devices
  • Rate discounts will apply to family plans
  • Employee phone records will not become private record
  • Employee and CCIT will not be liable for taxes
  • CCIT should see reduce fees for cell service due to ‘smarter’ distribution of devices

Cons

  • Employee is responsible for the bill, damage, and/or replacement
  • University will no longer be able to service phones and blackberries
  • Hassle of migration
