The Clemson Computing & Information Technology (CCIT) Communications Office functions as a strategic support unit within CCIT to provide quality internal and external mass communication services, public relations, marketing and publications.

Mission Statement

The mission of Clemson Computing and Information Technology is to develop and support a world-class IT organization and advanced cyberinfrastructure to enable Clemson University to become a Top 20 public university.

Communication Philosophy & Mission Statement

The CCIT Communications Office exists to increase transparency, promote understanding, build trusting relationships and encourage dialog between CCIT and all stakeholders and constituencies.

Mission Activities

  • Proactively and creatively disseminate information about CCIT services, resources and support to all Clemson faculty, students, staff and other constituencies.
  • Work with CU News Services and local and national media to publish news releases, features and articles to promote and inform various publics and stakeholders about CCIT activities in support of Clemson’s mission.
  • Develop and maintain an innovative and interactive Web presence that exemplifies best practices in communications, customer service, use of technology, usability and accessibility.
  • Establish and manage the overall CCIT identity and brand, including editorial and graphical guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of promotional items to promote CCIT services and support that are in line with CCIT goals and objectives.
  • Develop publications as needed in support of CCIT goals and objectives.
  • Provide support to CCIT departments in strategic communication planning and major project implementation.
