Clemson University Telecommunications offers two seminars in conjunction with Human Resources. The goals of the seminars are to help enhance self-confidence when answering phones and provide instructions on system features.

The telephone links us to the public and people we work with. It significantly influences our departmental and university images. Problems can often be prevented and work becomes easier and more successful with better telephone techniques.

"Effective Telephone Communications"

This seminar covers points such as pleasing voice qualities, good listening and communications skills, tact and courtesy, taking messages, and handling difficult people.

"Features of the University's Telephone System"

This seminar provides instructions on how to access and use the numerous features of our telephone system.

Both of these seminars are very beneficial to new employees and student workers, as well as serving as good reminders for members of the faculty and staff.
