Displaying Proofpoint Quarantine Digests in Web Mail

Depending upon your Clemson web mail settings, Proofpoint spam quarantine digests may not display correctly. If your quarantine digest displays without any working links, like the following sample, then you will need to change your web mail display settings. There are two different options you can make that will correct the display of the digest. Option 1: Temporarily Display Digest in HTML Format By default, web mail displays messages as plain text. You can temporarily display a message in itand39s formatted version. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the link DOWNLOAD THIS AS A FILE. A FILE DOWNLOAD window will open. Click on the OPEN link. A second window will open up. It will ask if you want to display the nonsecure items. Click on YES. Your spam quarantine digest will reopen and include all special formatting. You can now click on the links to release a message, mark the sender as a safe sender safelist, and any other link of your choice. When done, you can close the window and return to your INBOX. Option 2: Permanently Change Web Mail to Display All Messages in HTML Format You can make Clemsonand39s web mail display all messages with HTML formatting. First, click on the OPTIONS link at the top of the web mail page. In the OPTIONS panel, click on the link for DISPLAY PREFERENCES. Scroll down the DISPLAY PREFERENCES page to the section called MESSAGE DISPLAY AND COMPOSITION. Look for the link for SHOW HTML VERSION BY DEFAULT. Change the setting for SHOW HTML VERSION BY DEFAULT from NO to YES by clicking the YES option. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the SUBMIT button. Now you can return to the INBOX and select the quarantine digest. The message will display with the correct formatting and you will be able to click on the links to release a message, mark the sender as a safe sender safelist, and any other link of your choice.
