HOW TO: Set up a discussion forum and post a thread in a discussion forum

To setup a Discussion Board Forum:1. Login to Blackboard Learn at https://bb.clemson.edu and navigate to your course.2. From the Course menu, click Discussions. The Discussions page appears.3. Alternatively, click and expand Course Tools in the Control Panel, select Discussion. The Discussions page appears.4. Click the Create Forum button.5. Type in the Forum Name, description, and if applicable set the date and time restrictions.6. Modify the forum setting in Section 3: Forum settings to allow users to subscribe to a discussion forum or grade a forum.7. Click the Submit button.To Create a Thread:1. Login to Blackboard Learn at https://bb.clemson.edu and navigate to your course.2. From the Course menu, click Discussions. The Discussions page appears.3. Alternatively, click and expand Course Tools in the Control Panel, select Discussion. The Discussions page appears.4. Click the discussion forum name. The Forum page appears.5. Click Create Thread. The Create Thread page appears.6. Enter the required Subject and Message. Tip: You can also attach files to the post by clicking on Browse My Computer or Browse Content Collection.7. Click Save Draft to save a draft of the post that only appears to the author on the thread listing page.8.
