On a Windows computer you would follow these steps to unhide System files: 1. Click the Start Menu. 2. Open the Control Panel. 3. Click Folder Options. 4. Click the View tab. 5. Scroll down in the Advanced Settings area and select Show hidden files, folders and drives 6. Then click OK. On a Mac computer you would follow these steps to unhide System files: 1. Open the Finder. 2. Click Applications. 3. Click Utilities. 4. Doubleclick Terminal. 5. This will open the Terminal window. 6. Enter the following command and then press Return. defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles bool YES 7. Then enter the command to close the finder. Killall Finder 8. Next reopen the Finder and browse for the following files: /Users/your user name/Library/Application Support/SMART Technologies/SMART Board Drivers/FloatingToolsSmall.xml And /Users/your user name/Library/Application Support/SMART Technologies/SMART Board Drivers/ContextTools.xml Delete both of these files. 9. Next return to the Terminal windows and hide all your system files by entering the following command: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles bool NO Press Return. 10. Then enter the command to close the finder. Killall Finder 11. Restart the SmartNotebook Floating Toolbar by going to Applications SMART Board Drivers SMART Board Tools.app. The Floating Toolbar should appear and the tools should be working properly now.
