Laptop Setup Workshops

Laptop Setup Workshops are strongly recommended for all new Clemson students.  The workshops will cover topics like setting up Clemson wireless, network registration, Clemson network resources, printing and plotting, getting started with Clemson Google Apps, laptop security at Clemson, installing Clemson software, and many more...

Laptop workshops in summer 2012 will take place in the new Academic Success Center near Cooper Library.

Laptop Workshop SignupBRING AN ETHERNET CABLE!!!

Go to http://laptopreg.clemson.edu and sign in with your Clemson user ID and password.

Students have a choice of three types of workshop.

  • Apple Laptop Setup Workshop - for new students with Apple laptops (does not matter where they were purchased)
  • Recommended Laptop Setup Workshop - for new students with one of the recommended Windows laptops with the software image installed on it (should already have Clemson Novell client, Clemson Trend Micro, MS Office 2010, etc.)
  • Non-Recommended Laptop Setup Workshop - for new students with a Windows laptop that does not have Clemson software pre-installed.  Click here for pre-workshop instructions for non-recommended Windows laptops.

PLEASE BRING AN ETHERNET CABLE TO YOUR WORKSHOP!

Even better, bring two! Students need one ethernet cable to carry around in their backpack and one (longer) Ethernet cable for their dorm room.
If you do not have an Ethernet cable at the time of your workshop, try to borrow one from a friend.
