Adobe Reader 7.0

Document Preparation

Prior to beginning the print process, determine the physical size of the document. Simply move the mouse cursor towards the bottom left corner of Adobe Reader's window, and the document size will appear.

Although Adobe Reader will not present an error message should the document not fit inside the clipping rectangle, the intuitive printing interface helps the user avoid any such problems.

Once you click on the Properties button, the Printer Driver's properties dialog box should appear. At this point, consult the corresponding Printer Driver Instructions in order to properly set the paper size, orientation, and other options. Once finished with that portion, you should be back to the previous dialog box, where you can select OK to continue with the printing process.

After completing the necessary driver setup, you should be ready to print.  Select File -> Print to continue.

Selecting Fit to Printer Margins will shrink or enlarge the document such that the entire document will fit within the printer's margins. If you would like to ensure that the document is never enlarged, selecting Reduce to Printer Margins will effect this change. Furthermore, you may select None if you are certain that the document has adequate margins and will not be clipped by the printer.

Hint: Selecting Reduce to Printer Margins is a quick way to determine if the document will clip when printed.  If a zoom of less than 100% is displayed below the preview, then the document will not fit inside the clipping rectangle.

When you are satisfied with the print setup, click OK to spool the job to the printer's queue.
