Shred Day 2014

Protect Your Identity at Shred Day 2014

October 28 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
All Clemson University faculty, staff and students are encouraged to bring any paper based storage media to be destroyed by a certified destruction company on Shred Day 2014 Tuesday, Oct. 28th.  From 11 a.m. to 1 pm, bring any items you no longer need that contain personal information to the North Gate/Parking lot at LittleJohn Coliseum to be destroyed by Shred360 out of Chapin, SC.  Personal or university related are acceptable.
This is the 5th annual sponsoring of this free event and it is hosted by Clemson's Office of Information Security and Privacy in observance of Cyber Security Awareness Month to shred virtually any storage medium that you can imagine.
Shredding materials that contain personal information is one way to help prevent the growing problem of identity theft. Items you may want to consider shredding include:

On-site destruction for these items will be completed for paper based products.

 * Off-site destruction for these items will be completed at their secure location:

• Hard-Drives
• Magnetic Tapes

You can destroy university or personally owned hard drives any time of the year at the University Surplus on perimeter road.  There is a DoD approved hard drive crusher on site to physically destroy the hard drive.

*should you require it, Shred360 will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction for your records
