You may need to purchase either an IEEE 1394 firewire cable or a Six Pin Firewire cable to get your video off your camera and into your computer. The type of cable you will need will depend on what type of output your camera has and your computer input. For example, I have a digital video camera with a DV Output(IEEE 1394), and my Windows laptop has a IEEE 1394 video capture card. For this example I would need a Firewire cable that has IEEE 1394 on both ends. However, if I hook up the same camera to a Mac, it requires a a Six Pin Firewire.
