What is Adobe® Photoshop®? 
Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems. It is the current and primary market leader for commercial bitmap and image manipulation.
Is there a cost associated with Adobe® Photoshop®?
Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 is no longer available from Adobe. The new version is Adobe® Photoshop® CS4. The “stand alone” educational version of Photoshop CS4 retails for $299; Photoshop can also be purchased as part of a number of higher priced Creative Suite options.
Can I download Adobe® Photoshop®?
You can download a trial version of the Adobe® Photoshop® software from the Adobe website.
How do I use Adobe® Photoshop® CS3?
Clemson University has a campus wide license for the SkillPort Learning Resources. Training for Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 and Adobe® Photoshop® 6 is available in SkillPort. Use the keyword Photoshop 6.0 or Photoshop CS3 in the Search in SkillPort to find available resources.
Adobe has several resources available on their website to help you learn how to use Adobe® Photoshop®. There are additional resources available on the web as well. We have linked some resources that we believe will help you in learning Adobe® Photoshop® below.
- Tutorials
- Click the Tutorials link above.
- On the next website, select the Photoshop CS3 Product in the top left box.
- Then select Getting Started in the Select a Topic list in the top right box.
- A list of video tutorials will be displayed in the box in the middle of the screen.
- Select a video. Then click the Play Video button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Upon completing the video close the pop-up window to return to the list of videos again.
