What is Google Calendar?
Google Calendar allows you to organize your schedule and share events with your friends. Share your calendar with friends, family and co-workers and view schedules that others have shared with you. Synchronize your calendar with your mobile phone so that you can access your calendar while your desk. Use customizable reminders to help you stay on schedule.You can choose to be notified by email or get a text message sent right to your mobile phone.Invite other people to events on your calendar.Guests can RSVP to your events by email or via Google Calendar.Synchronize your calendar with Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal or Mozilla Sunbird.Work offline and view a read only version of your calendar no matter where you are.
To access or setup your Google Calendar, open a web browser and navigate to the following URL:
Login using your Google Apps for Education login and password.
Is there any cost associated with Google Calendar?
Google Calendar is a free product. However, if you choose to receive notifications such as event reminders via SMS, your mobile operator's standard rates for receiving text messages may apply. Your operator may also charge you for outgoing SMS messages. If you have any questions about the rate, please contact your operator for more information.
Can I download my Google Calendar?
Yes. Your Google Calendar can be downloaded to your local compute using the Offline Calendar feature. Review Google Calendars Access Options to find out more about Google Offline as well as how to sync your Google Calendar with Microsoft® Outlook®, Apple® iCal or Mozilla Sunbird.
