What is the Google Start Page?
The Google Start Page is a Clemson University branded version of the iGoogle homepage. The Google Start Page is a website that you can customize and use as a portal page for all of your Google Apps. You can customize the Google Gadgets that appear on your Google Start Page as well as the layout of the selected Google Gadgets. Gadgets can include Google Talk, Gmail, Google Docs and your Google Calendar. There are also custom gadgets that were created specific to Clemson University like: Top Stories at Clemson University, CCIT News, and Clemson Tigers News. The Start Page can also incorporate some of your favorite iGoogle homepage gadgets as well like: News, Tools, Communication, Fun & Games, Finance, Sports, Lifestyle and Technology. At the bottom of the Start Center Page are links to Clemson University systems like: Blackboard, SIS, Email Control, CCIT, etc.
You can access the Google Start Page online by opening your web browser and navigating to the following URL:
Once you get to this page, you can login by clicking the Sign in link in the top right corner. Once logged in you can customize the layouts and gadgets that are displayed on your Google Start Page.
Is there a cost associated with the Google Start Page?
No. The Google Start Page is free as part of Google Apps for Education to faculty, staff and students.
Can I download the Google Start Page?
No.
