In 2008, Clemson University migrated all student email accounts from an internally hosted mail service to Google Apps for Education and Gmail. Google Apps for Education is a combination of six of Google's most commonly used products:

Google Documents Google Sites Google Start Page

These products have been branded to incorporate the Clemson logo and provide students with a custom portal to Google Apps that is advertisement free.
