Course Delivery Methods

Hybrid

  • A hybrid course is a traditional classroom based course that is heavily supplemented with web technology.  In this case 50% or more of the class instruction may occur online.  This interaction may be through conferencing technology as well as interaction through the Blackboard Course Management System via login to MyCLE.  This type of course may be supplemented with additional materials that are provided in other media formats.
  • Significant identifiers for this type of course are displayed in the Notes column of the Schedule of Classes. In the example below, you will notice that the highlighted class has three notes. One indicates that the quizzes and/or tests will be administered on campus, and another indicating that this is an Internet Course.

This is a screenshot of the Schedule of Classes screen with the Notes column circled for a Hybrid class. Then the Footnote at the bottom of the Schedule of Classes page is highlighted as well.
