Faculty Computing Orientation
Network Storage Space
Faculty have access to two types of network storage space. The first type is their personal storage space on the University’s network.
- 200 MB of space (separate from the email space)
- Access your files from NetStorage. This can be accessed from anywhere using your web browser.
- You can also use WebDrive to access your files when you are not on campus.
- From campus computers:
- Select your U: drive
- Save files into this drive directly or drag and drop files into it
- View a tutorial on how to Login to Netware Services to Manage Files on your U: drive
- This space can be used to serve as a testing ground for developing databases and learning to create dynamic Internet content using PHP and MySQL.
The second type of network storage space available to faculty members is their workgroup space.
- 5 GB of space (separate from personal storage space and email)
- Access your workgroup files from NetStorage. This can be accessed from anywhere using your web browser.
- You can also use WebDrive to access your workgroup files when you are not on campus.
- This space can be used to serve as a testing ground for developing databases and learning to create dynamic Internet content using PHP and MySQL.
