PLEASE BRING AN ETHERNET CABLE TO YOUR WORKSHOP!

Even better, bring two!  Students need one ethernet cable to carry around in their backpack and one (longer) ethernet cable for their dorm room.  If you do not have an ethernet cable at the time of your workshop, try to borrow one from a friend.

Laptop Setup Workshops are strongly recommended for all new Clemson students.  The workshops will cover  topics like setting up Clemson wireless, network registration, Clemson network resources, getting started with Clemson Google Apps, laptop security at Clemson, installing software, and many more ...

Students will have many choices of a time to attend a two hour workshop.  If new students beginning in the fall semester already have their laptops when they come for summer  orientation, there will be "Early Bird" opportunities.  Click here for information on Early Bird Laptop Setup Workshops.  Or new fall semester students may attend a workshop on move in weekend in August.

Transfer students beginning in January of 2009 may attend a workshop on January 5, 9-11 AM.  There will be three sessions in the basement of Barre Hall:  Apple Laptop Setup, Imaged Laptop Setup (for recommended Windows laptops that have a Clemson software image installed), and Other Laptop Setup (for all other Windows laptops).  To sign up click on the link above to Register for a Laptop Workshop.

There are also other student instructor led training (SILT) opportunities available at: http://www.clemson.edu/ccit/ittraining
