Getting an FTP program
If you do not already have an FTP client, you will need to download WS_FTP. If you are unsure about other software you have, download this program and test it out first. You can get a copy of WS_FTP at the Software Downloads. You will need your userid and password to download the software.
Installing WS_FTP
For detailed, step-by-step directions on how to install and the WS_FTP program, please view the FTP to your User Space Solution Guide at the section labelled Installing the software.
Connecting to the Mainframe
Start the FTP program, then click the New button on the right side. This will create a new FTP session. For illustrative purposes, we have named the session MAINFRAME but you may name it whatever you want. Fill in the hostname with clemson.clemson.edu. The Host Type is IBM MVS. Fill in the userid with your own. Fill in your password in the next box.
Click OK to continue, and FTP will attempt to connect.

If the connection attempt is successful, mainframe space will be visible on the right side. To go to the proper directory, click on the "ChgDir" button on the right. Type in 'ACS.OMR.DATA' (including the single quotes) and press Enter. If you want to transfer files from mainframe space, click on the desired files on the right side, then click on the left arrow. Make sure that the ASCII file is checked.

To transfer OMR data, highlight the file you want to download, and the click the arrow button that points from right to left.
