Applying for Admission to the Civil Engineering Graduate Program

The required information and application materials that you will need are available online at www.grad.clemson.edu/admission/index.php. Graduate Admissions processes all applications and will only send an application to the CE Department for review after all materials have been submitted and the application fee received.

All documents should be submitted electronically to Graduate Admissions. There is no reason to mail any information to the Graduate School or to the CE Department unless requested.

Answers to many questions related to the application process can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions”.

GRE and TOEFL

All applicants are required to submit GRE scores. International applicants must also submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. When submitting official scores to Clemson, you need an institutional code only (R5111). We do not use Department codes.

Deadlines

Graduate applications are reviewed year-round. However, to ensure timely issuance of Certificates of Eligibility
(I-20's/DS-2019's), international applications should be submitted by April 15 for Fall semester enrollment and September 15 for Spring semester enrollment. I-20s will not be issued after July 1 for Fall admission and December 1 for Spring admission.
