- Alumna Suzanne Aultman, P.E., is the 2009 Young Engineer of the Year named by the National Society of Professional Engineers. Aultman is the chief engineer for the Atlanta Division of Metromont Corp. and holds the BSCE (2000) and MSCE (2002) degrees from the Clemson Civil Engineering Department. The Department
The Department offers undergraduate and graduate course work in the major fields of civil engineering. The Clemson University Civil Engineering Undergraduate degree program leads to the ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree. Read about our undergraduate Program Educational Objectives.
Clemson has the award-winning ASCE and ITE Student Chapters. Both ASCE and ITE student teams have won numerous regional and national championships.
The department offers a comprehensive undergraduate program leading to the BSCE degree. Graduate programs in Civil Engineering lead to the MS and PhD degrees with specializations in applied fluid mechanics, Construction Engineering and Management, Construction Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering and Transportation systems. Undergraduate students can choose technical electives to complete an "emphasis" in a particular subdiscipline, such as environmental engineering.
