Accreditation

Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which the programs offered by educational institutions are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met. A major goal of accreditation is continuous program improvement.

Clemson University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). In addition, Clemson University's College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences has a number of programs accredited by ABET. The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (SC CHE) also provides oversight for all of Clemson's academic programs.
