Clemson Automotive Engineering Student wins Graduate Student Leader of the Year Award

Student Leader of the Year plaqueThe Automotive Engineering department has been done proud again by their very own Nikhil Punneri Madathil, who recently received the Graduate Student Leader of the Year Award at the Clemson University Campus Life Awards. The Graduate Student Leader of the Year Award recognizes a graduate student who consistently demonstrates high academic achievement and seeks out service to Clemson University and the local community. It is awarded to the student who displays outstanding leadership qualities with high campus and community involvement, specific honors and achievements, leadership in academics, service, co-curricular involvement and/or campus employment.

Campus Life Awards PresentationA master’s student of the Automotive Engineering Department, Nikhil has served as both the President of the CU-ICAR Student Association and as the Greenville Vice President of the Graduate Student Government of Clemson University. He also assisted undergraduate students as a teaching assistant for AUE 4030, taught by Dr. Dee Kivett, during the Fall 2017 semester. Nikhil is currently completing an internship at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Michigan.
