Automotive Engineering Alumni

alumni home pageOne of the best ways to measure the success of a program is to look at the accomplishments of its alumni. We’re thrilled to report that nearly 99 percent of our graduates are working in industry or academia. This high employment rate and your individual successes give us a lot to be proud of.

We have dedicated this section of our site to you. You will find general information about Department of Automotive Engineering alumni, a contact form that allows you to update your information, and information on how you can get involved with the department. In the future, we look forward to adding an alumni newsletter, profiles, and other items that will be important to you. If you have feedback on what you would like to see on the site, please contact our Student Services Coordinator.

Distinguished Alumni Award Information

The Department of Automotive Engineering is thrilled to continue recognizing our alumni with the Distinguished Alumni Award. This award recognizes distinguished alumni from AuE for their accomplishments in the auto industry or academia. Winners will have travel and accommodations covered by the department to our annual Fellowship Ceremony in October. Please see below for details regarding the award.

Past Recipients:

2019: Dr. Kavit Antani“I am honored to be the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Alumni award and deeply thankful to the faculty members for nominating me. After working for 11 years in the manufacturing industry, I chose to join the CUICAR doctoral program to pursue my dream of being part of the exciting world of automotive engineering and manufacturing. This unique program at CUICAR helped me develop a strong academic foundation and interact with some of the world’s most passionate and creative minds. I gained significant hands-on experience through the unique Deep Orange program and extensive lab work which was an integral part of every course. I look forward to continuing close interaction with faculty members and alumni at CUICAR and wish them the very best as they continue to pursue their dreams”.
