Faculty Overview

Dr. Xiao’s research interests mainly focus on the exploration of high valuable bioproducts from microorganism mainly include algae oil, EPS, enzymes and pigments; the development of microbial fuel chamber (MFC) based biosensor for environmental application; using metabolite pathway modified microorganism enhance biocementation process and study the potential application in sustainable and environmental fields; and the studying ammonia-based organic fertilizer production via hyper-ammonia-production (HAP) bacteria.
