Karleisha Coleman Kakraba, PhD Student, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management

Karleisha hails from Richmond, California.  She is currently a Phd Student in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.  She graduated from Grambling State University with a B.S., Therapeutic Recreation.  She also holds a MPA, Master of Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino and attended Georgia State University where she obtained a Certificate, Hospitality Administration.  Her research focus is health implications and student identity development in STEM academic support programs.  Karleisha enjoys Indoor/outdoor Games, event Management, and jazz festivals


Julia Harrison

Julia Harrison, Masters Student, Biomedical Engineering

Julia hails from Pendleton, South Carolina. She is currently a graduate student at Clemson University in Biomedical Engineering with a research focus in medical device design. She graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Bioengineering. Julia has spent her past few years at Clemson working for the PEER/WISE department. Having had the opportunity to serve as a tutor, WISE mentor, and camp counselor, Julia contributes the shaping of her college career to PEER/WISE. Even now as a graduate assistant, Julia teaches the PEER/WISE experience seminar course. When she is not in our department, Julia enjoys traveling, hiking national parks, art, and soccer.

Maya is currently a Ph.D. student in Engineering and Science Education as well as the Graduate Community Directory for the Women in Science and Engineering Residence Hall(WISER). She enjoys assisting students in the attainment of their personal and professional goals by providing encouragement and evidence-based practices.
