Summer 2017 Project WISE Application

Deadline to Apply: April 28th

The Curriculum

Project WISE classes give girls experience and hands-on learning in science, engineering and mathematics. You’ll learn how science and engineering affect you personally. You’ll also discover how exciting and rewarding careers in these fields can be. Sponsored by Duke Energy since 1997, this one-week camp for rising seventh and eighth-grade girls features noncredit mini-courses in engineering, science and mathematics. The courses are taught by Clemson professors give the students the opportunity to experience practical applications of math and science through collaborative and hands-on learning lively methods.

Fun Activities

Project WISE is not all work. The girls have a great time participating in dance classes, trips to the movies, outdoor and indoor games, and much more. While attending sessions that promote strong self-esteem, campers grow personally and learn more about who they truly are, while establishing and maintaining healthy habits. Have no doubt, campers stay busy and involved. They bond with one another and positivity build long lasting friendships.
