CECAS Global Engagement - Opportunities for Graduate Students

Clemson College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences graduate students have unique opportunities to enhance their education and research experience while completing their advanced studies at Clemson.

The two most common types of study aboard programs include Graduate Exchange Programs and Dual Degree Programs.

Graduate Exchange Programs

Graduate Exchange Programs are the result of Clemson University and partner institutions drafting agreements where students visit and study specified programs abroad.  Examples in the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences include the Department of Mathematical Sciences exchange programs with:

  • University of Bremen - Bremen, Germany
  • University of Kaiserslautern - Kaiserslautern, Germany

Dual Degree Programs

Dual degree programs enable students from both institutions to achieve dual enrollment and degrees in a seamless fashion. Students are exposed to cultures and work practices as students completing a degree in two countries, which will enhance experience and prepare these selected students to be leaders in the global economy.

Examples of Dual Degree Programs include the Tongji PhD Program in Civil Engineering and the Dual PhD Program in Physics and Astronomy.
