Welcome to the Office of The Associate Dean for Research

The Associate Dean for Research (ADR) in the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences (CECAS) oversees research in the college.  This office includes proposal development: pre-award, grant management: post-award, and postdoctoral support offices and their functions.  The ADR provides oversight of the college’s research centers, alliances, and institutes and facilitates research activities for the college by identifying and cultivating exploratory opportunities. 

Meet the Associate Dean

Noneaker joined Clemson in 1993 as an assistant professor and rose through the ranks to become chair of the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2014. The department’s research expenditures grew from $5.5 million to $9.7 million during his tenure as department chair. He oversaw the hiring of 15 faculty members, including 2 for named professorships and 2 for endowed chairs. Noneaker received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993. His chief research interest is in mobile wireless communications systems.
