The Department of Engineering and Science Education offers graduate students enrolled in STEM disciplines the opportunity to earn a Certificate in Engineering and Science Education. This program is designed for graduate students who seek formal preparation for an academic career, who wish to further their understanding of the education process in STEM disciplines, or who are interested in furthering their knowledge of discipline-based education research. Advanced Power Systems Engineering Certificate Program
The advanced power systems engineering certificate program consists of four of five classes in the areas of power systems protection, dynamics/stability, transients, and distribution as described below. This certificate program is intended for students who already possess a working knowledge of modern power systems.  A prerequisite for entering this program is a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.  There are also course-specific prerequisites and corequisites for each course. Medical Device Recycling and Reprocessing Certificate Program
The Medical Device Recycling and Reprocessing Certificate program is an internship immersion and training program for engineers offered through the Department of Bioengineering. It is focused on reprocessing and recycling of medical devices to promote sustainability in healthcare. It aims to train engineers to optimize medical device designs for sustainability in healthcare, to gain skills in reprocessing validation methods for industry to assure patient safety while maintaining regulatory compliance, and to develop medical device commercialization strategies. Learn more here
