Steps to Apply:

Congratulations, and welcome to the Clemson Family! Before you can apply to be part of RISE you will need to complete a few next steps! Complete Next Steps After Acceptance provided by the University Admissions office, and be sure to check your official Clemson email for important information and updates!

Applying for housing is a three step process.

During "Step 1: Signing Your Housing Contract" you will select a Community of Choice. Select RISE as your first choice. Only eligible majors will be able to see RISE as a Living-Learning Community choice on the Community of Choice page.

If you change your major after acceptance to the University you will need to notify RISE staff directly to enroll in the program by emailing or call (864) 656-2103.

Note: Your admissions deposit must be paid before you can proceed with your housing application. If you have just paid your admissions deposit today, it may take up to 24 hours before it is transmitted to the housing application.

Visit the University Housing website for the application and additional housing information. Also, note that all first year housing applications for fall and summer terms are due by May 15. Housing priority for all new students is based on the application date to the University, not on the date you applied for housing.

After the housing application closes, time slots are provided to student who have completed their application. Students who have selected the RISE Living-Learning Community will receive a time slot (after May 15) to select a room in the Byrnes/Lever community. Be diligent in checking your Clemson email, your time slot notification will be provided to you at your official Clemson email address.

Students will be able to select a room during their time slot provided by University Housing. Time slots are allocated based on the date you applied to the University.

Select your room in Byrnes/Lever Hall to be part of the RISE community. If you miss your time slot or do not select a room by the deadline provided by housing you may not be able to enroll in the RISE program. Once you have selected your room in the Byrnes/Lever community, RISE program staff will notify you with additional program information.
