Julian Bliss, clarinet

Julian Bliss returns to perform a solo recital following his highly successful tribute to Benny Goodman by the Julian Bliss Septet last season. One of the world’s finest solo clarinetists, at the age of six, Bliss was invited to play for Prince Philip at Buckingham Palace. At nine, he moved to the United States to study at Indiana University where he received the institution’s postgraduate Artist Diploma at age 12. Bliss’ program will include works by Poulenc, Debussy, and Brahms, among others.
