Although it has been in existence since the early 1970's, it celebrated a re-opening after a complete renovation in the fall of 2005. The renovation project established a collaborative partnership in designing and in constructing the new CLRC between the Clemson University Schools of Nursing and Architecture and Health.

The CLRC addresses issues that are significant to the university, the state, and the nation. The Center is responsive to the university’s goals and priorities as Clemson continues to strive to become a Top 20 Public University.

The CLRC enables students to learn in an environment that fosters excellence in teaching and learning at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
