Ansys Seminar Brings Industry Leaders to CU-ICAR Campus

breakout

August 19, 2009

Approximately 50 people attended last Tuesday's ANSYS 12.0 Seminar Series held at the Clemson University Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) campus as part of its North American 12.0 Seminar Series. The seminar highlighted ANSYS 12.0, the latest product release from the engineering simulation leader ANSYS, Inc.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the new features of ANSYS 12.0 from ANSYS team members and other industry experts and were able to see comprehensive demos of ANSYS products and applications. Dr. James Leylek, the Executive Director of the Clemson University Computational Center for Mobility Systems (CU-CCMS), gave a brief overview of the computational center and also discussed how their partnership with ANSYS has allowed CU-CCMS to push the limits of their high-performance computing simulations with industry clients. The day also included to break-out sessions - one devoted to ANSYS capabilities in meshing, fluid simulation, and structural simulation; the other session went into deeper detail on specific topics, such as multi-phase flow modeling and durability.
