June 1, 2009

In less than a week, CU-CCMS will host booth #700 at the 2009 ASME-IGTI Turbo Expo, to be held in Orlando, FL.  The booth will showcase CU-CCMS' unique capabilities in engineering simulation to clients engaged in research, design, development, and optimization.

This year CU-CCMS offers a variety of activities and events for congress attendees:

  • Register to win an one of three Ipod Nanos being given away on Tuesday June 9, Wednesday June 10 and Thursday June 11 at the CU-CCMS booth #700. Drawings will be held at the end of each day's session, and the winner's name posted the next morning.
  • Talk to staff from CU-CCMS, who will be available to answer questions about the CU-CCMS HPC infrastructure, which was recently named as one of the 100 most powerful computers in the world, and among the 10 most powerful among US University computers (according to www.top500.org).

"Gas Turbine Technologies: Meeting Complex Global Challenges," will be the theme of the keynote session at ASME Turbo Expo 2009. The conference will bring together engineers, research scientists, educators and other professionals involved in the design, operation, and maintenance of aero engines and stationary power turbines.  A highlight of Turbo Expo 2009 will be the three-day exposition showcasing the products and services of engine manufacturers, software developers, research laboratories, and other firms in the worldwide power industry.
