CU-CCMS at SAE 2009: Activities and Events

In less than one week, CU-CCMS will host booth #530 at the 2009 SAE World Congress:  Racing to Green Mobility in Detroit. The booth will showcase CU-CCMS' unique capabilities in engineering simulation to clients engaged in research, design, development, and optimization. 

This year CU-CCMS offers a variety of activities and events for congress attendees:

  • Learn more about the unique capabilities of CU-CCMS, in a technical paper presentation of SAE paper 2009-01-1167, "Aerodynamics of a Pickup Truck: Combined CFD and Experimental Study." The paperwill be presented by Dr. James Leylek, the Executive Director of CU-CCMS, on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30PM in room D2-13/14
  • Register to win an IPod touch on Tuesaday April 21, and Bose SoundDock on Wednesday April 22, at the CU-CCMS booth #530. Drawings will be held at the end of each day's session, and the winner's name posted the next morning.
  • Visit the CU-CCMS booth for a joint press conference with Ansys , Inc. on Tuesday, April 21, for a special announcement at 2:30 in the afternoon
  • Talk to staff from CU-CCMS and our partners, Sun Microsystems and Voltaire, Inc., available to answer questions about the CU-CCMS HPC infrastructure, which was recently named as one of the 100 most powerful computers in the world, and among the 10 most powerful among US University computers (according to www.top500.org)

SAE World Congress is a world-renowned event and the only one of its kind that brings the automotive industry's engineering talent together at one time and place. In these times of great change in the automotive industry, engineering leaders from around the world will gather to exchange ideas on the future of technology & vehicle engineering.  The once-a-year event provides a highly interactive atmosphere, perfect for sharing of knowledge and ideas, fostering creativity, and enabling collaboration.
