As the Timken Chair in Automotive Design and Development, Ziegert leads research initiatives in analysis and design of precision machining for automotive applications and coordinates collaborative research and development projects between the University’s R&D resources and Timken’s on-site engineering group.

Beshah Ayalew
Beshah Ayalew

Beshah Ayalew received his MS (2000) and Ph.D. (2005) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and his BS (1997) degree, also in Mechanical Engineering, from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Prior to joining Clemson in August 2006 as one of the CU-ICAR faculty, he worked as a research associate at the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute.



Robert PruckaRobert Prucka 

Robert Prucka received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering in 2000, a Masters of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering in April 2008, all from the University of Michigan. His research interests focus on the development of novel experimental and modeling techniques to improve internal combustion engine control, performance, emissions and efficiency.
