Paul Venhovens, Chair of Systems Integration

As the BMW Endowed Chair in Systems Integration at CU-ICAR, Paul Venhovens leads the uniquely focused area that has been called the “brand” of CU-ICAR research and education efforts. Dr. Venhovens comes from BMW’s Research and Development headquarters in Munich, Germany, where he worked in the systems integration field since joining BMW in 1995. His experiences range from supervising research projects in Driver Assistance Systems and software engineering at major universities, to developing new testing methods and software tools for functional integration of BIW, chassis and drivelines to mitigate noise, vibration and harshness.

Steve Hung

Steve Hung joined the department in October 2007. His research interests include energy efficiency-enhancing technologies and mechatronics while his teaching interests include system integration methods, control systems and mechatronics.

Pierluigi Pisu

Pierluigi Pisu has joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in July 2006. His teaching and research interests lie in the general areas of fault diagnosis with application to vehicle systems, energy management control of hybrid electric vehicles, sliding mode control, and robust control. He is a member of the ASME and SAE.
