With support from Duke Energy, LLC, the Clemson University Center for Workforce Development (CUCWD), proposes to provide funding to partner organizations in support of its mission. The CUCWD is a South Carolina Commission on Higher Education-approved, statewide P-20 initiative to improve workforce educational capacity in STEM fields across South Carolina. CUCWD engages university, technical colleges, K-12 institutions, statewide industry and federal agencies to deliver workforce development tools that have the power to transform the economy of the state of South Carolina. As part of this funding commitment in technology and STEM education, the CUCWD will support various initiatives in the state.
The theme for the CUCWD and Duke Foundation proposals is the role of STEM education to support integration of
technology; inspiring awareness, interest and attainment of required skills for
