2013 AOP Business & Industry Showcase
Anderson, Oconee and Pickens (AOP) counties hosted over 50 businesses at Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum on October 2–3 showcasing industry needs and opportunities in local business to over 5,500 students from seven school districts in the AOP area. The goal of this special event continued to be simple – to help young people and their parents understand the decisions that they need to make now in order to thrive in their future careers.
With workforce development being a critical issue facing our nation, the event was designed to provide students an opportunity to interact with company representatives and ask questions regarding careers and necessary skill development. The 2013 AOP Showcase was just a glance of the opportunities local industries currently have available and how students may obtain a highly-skilled and highly-paid job opportunity in their own backyard.
The 2013 AOP Showcase was sponsored by Anderson County Economic Development, Alliance Pickens South Carolina USA, and Oconee County Economic Development Commission.
