The Institute for Parks at Clemson University offers transformative leadership education programs to prepare present and future leaders to proactively manage park resources, creating managers who are knowledgeable in management practices, pertinent research, cutting-edge technologies and the salient issues of effective administration and who have a deeper appreciation of an environmental philosophy and ethic. Through workshops, academic course work and special events, the institute conducts programs that develop new leadership and provides continuing education for park professionals around the world. These educational and training programs have been conducted in partnership with the Tanzanian National Parks, Maasi Mara University, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bhutan Department of Forest and Park Services, Sri Lanka National Parques, U.S. Agency for International Development, and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (through the Recovered Oil Fund for Wildlife).
