Looking at the South

February 14 - March 14, 2018

“Looking at the South: Photographs from the Do Good Fund”, is a collection of contemporary photography focused on southern life. Photographs in the exhibition were loaned to the Lee Gallery from the Do Good Fund located in Columbus Georgia. The exhibition was co-curated by Clemson University faculty Associate Professor Anderson Wrangle, Lee Gallery Director Denise Woodward-Detrich and MFA Photography graduate student Amanda Musick. Ms. Musick who has an interest in exhibition management also coordinated two companion exhibitions which were showcased at Riverworks Gallery at Greenville Tech and the Spartanburg County Library, Spartanburg, SC. Photographs in all three exhibitions range from landscapes to portraits and document everyday life in the American South starting around the 1940’s.
