Brandon Lee

Brandon W. Lee is a doctoral candidate in Business Administration with a concentration of Operations Management in the Department of Management at Clemson University. Prior to his PhD study, he enjoyed a 12-year career in multinational corporations, i.e., Siemens and Aisin (a Toyota Group company). In such organizations, he mainly worked in the field of quality management and Six Sigma process improvement while holding positions such as quality assurance manager, quality assurance engineer, Six Sigma master black belt (MBB), and TQM engineer. His research interests include healthcare operations, quality management, and behavioral operations. In the field of healthcare, he has worked for a research project entitled “Creating Learning Systems with Mobile Technology to Improve Coordination in Perioperative Services” granted by National Science Foundation (NSF) as a graduate research assistant to Dr. Lawrence Fredendall since August 2013. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management & Applied Engineering and master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems from Southern Illinois University. As for his teaching responsibilities at Clemson University, he has been a lab instructor (ERP Lab) for MGT 4020 (Operations Planning and Control) and an instructor for MGT 3900 (Operations Management). Brandon is an ASQ (American Society for Quality) certified quality engineer (CQE), quality auditor (CQA), and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB). He is a senior member of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) and Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).
