IBIOE presents Dr. Ryan Porter
Clemson University Institute for Biological Interfaces of Engineering and Clemson University Department of Bioengineering hosted Dr. Ryan Porter from the Center for Advanced Orthopaedic Studies, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on April 5, 2011. The topic for the seminar was Challenges for directing cartilage repair in situ. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Advanced Orthopaedic Studies, he has focused on the manipulation of adult stem cells for treating important skeletal problems, particularly soft tissue injuries to the synovial joint.
Olympus VivaView System Demonstration
IBIOE will host a demonstration of the Olympus VivaView FL system (LCV110) (Product Description) incubator microscope in Room 405 of Rhodes Engineering Research Center. Dr. Jennifer Genova Marks, Application Specialist from the Olympus Life Science Group will be available during the week to answer questions. Dr. Davies Seminar
MUSC College of Dental Medicine, Clemson University Institute for Biological Interfaces of Engineering, and MUSC Center for Functional Outcomes and Reconstructive Biotechnology hosted John E. Davies, a leading researcher in the fields of Bone Tissue Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. The topic for the seminar was Implant Surfaces and Osseointegration.
