About the Outdoor Lab Camps

The Outdoor Lab is home to several summer and weekend camps. Our programs are accredited by the American Camp Association ® and are designed to offer campers opportunities they won't get other places. Our amazing staff care for and lead campers in a variety of activities which include overnight camping, archery, canoeing, swimming, arts & crafts, drama, sailing, nature and more.

The CUOL Camps include:

  • Outdoor Lab Day Camp, a camp for children between the ages of 5-12 to experience camp.
  • Jaycee Camp Hope for children and adults, ages 7 & older, who have developmental disabilities.
  • Camp Sertoma, for children ages 7-13, who are either underprivileged or have a speech or hearing impairment.
  • Camp Odyssey, for children ages 6-12.
  • Camp Lions Den, for children and teens ages 6-13, who have visual impairments or are blind.
  • Camp Sunshine (weekend camps) for children and adults who have severe or profound developmental disabilities.

Housing is provided in comfortable cabins with 10 single beds for campers and supervising staff. Cabin groups are determined by age, providing campers with opportunities to adjust socially with peers. Showers and bathrooms are located within each cabin for safety and convenience.

The CUOL Camps are made possible through generous individuals and groups who believe in the value of camp.  If you are interested in supporting our programs through gifts or donations, please contact us to find out ways you can help.

For questions or additional information to determine the best program for your camper, contact the camp director at cuolcamps-L@clemson.edu or (864) 646-7502.
