Surrounded by the Clemson forest and located on Lake Hartwell, the Clemson University Outdoor Lab offers a relaxing and inviting atmosphere for guests. Our comfortable accommodations are unlike any other in the area. Choose from suite or cabin-style lodging according to the needs of your group.

The Outdoor Lab is proud to be a smoke free environment. We are also a pet-free facility. Guest with pets will be asked to check-out and will forfeit their deposit. A $150-$300 cleaning charge will also be applied. If your group includes unrelated males and females, please plan to house them in separate cabins. Complimentary amenities include:

Lodging Rates

Cabins

The Outdoor Lab has seventeen group cabins equipped with single beds and individual dressers. Each has twin beds, a large bathroom, and a central seating area. All of our cabins are fully carpeted and have heating, air conditioning, lighting, and Wi-Fi. Accompanied by large front porches with scenic lake and nature views, our cabins are perfect for families or groups.

Suites

Our suites consist of one or two bedrooms with deluxe queen or twin size beds. Each suite also has a separate living area with a desk, chairs, and a comfortable sofa. All of our rooms have central heat and air and are fully carpeted. Suites also include towels and linens, a coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, and Wi-Fi.

When is check in/out?

Check in begins at 4pm. Check out is at 11am. We are happy to accommodate any special requests (subject to availability).
Is there a minimum number of nights I have to stay?

Blackout dates require a two-night minimum stay. We do allow for a one night stay during all other dates
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?

Individuals reserving lodging are asked to provide a credit card, check, or cash to hold their reservation. If paying by credit card, the card will be charged for one night’s lodging plus applicable taxes per unit at the time of making the reservation. The remaining balance is due three business days prior to your arrival. If payment is by check or cash, a courtesy hold may be extended for up to five calendar days to allow for receipt of payment. Deposits will be fully refunded if cancellation is received more that seven calendar days prior to the day of arrival. Cancellations within seven days, but not less than twenty four hours will receive a refund equaling 50% of their deposit. Cancellations within 24 hours of arrival date will receive no refund.
