Clemson University Graphic Communications students are required to develop and lead research projects as part of their undergraduate and graduate studies. Each semester, students are searching for special projects associated with inks, substrates, imaging technologies, presses, or color. You can help these students by offering project ideas that are of interest to the industry. Ideas collected will be presented to students at the beginning of each school semester.
Examples of past studies include: effect of offset blankets on print performance, pH stable vs. conventional water-based inks, effect of plate relief on fluting, tests and procedures to QC incoming raw materials, effect of viscosity vs. ink laydown, ink mileage study, and study to quantify fluting in post print corrugated.
If you would like to offer any suggestions please e-mail Print/Con with a brief description of the test idea. Thank you for your participation!
