| This class is geared towards individuals wishing to expand their present knowledge of the flexographic process. Emphasis is placed on optimizing the printing of tone work and full color reproductions. The class "fingerprints" our press, measures process variance, creates production standards, and then each student designs and completes a four color process job. During each step formal instruction couples hands on learning in such areas as tonal value management, color proofing, color theory, print analysis, process control, anilox selection, and more. |

"The Advanced Techniques in Flexography class at Clemson is an excellent hands-on approach to learning the entire flexographic process: graphics, color theory, spectrophotometry, densitometry, fingerprinting the press-dot gain, gray balance, density, tonal scales, plate making and running a printing press. Another advantage I appreciated was the size of the class which allowed for individual attention and participation." Director of Operations: Pliant Corporation, Dave Henderson |
