  • U.S.News & World Report ranks Clemson 22nd among all national public doctoral-granting universities, the only South Carolina school in the top 50. Clemson is No. 2 among national public universities in the “up and coming” category as “a college that has recently made striking improvements or innovations — a school everyone should be watching,” according to the magazine.
  • Clemson’s undergraduate engineering program ranked No. 51 among those at all universities, up from 57 last year.
  • Kiplinger magazine editors have picked Clemson (No. 33) as one of the top public institutions in the country providing the best education for the dollar.
  • Clemson is among the 35 members of General Electric’s elite nationwide group of “Executive Schools,” from which it draws candidates for engineering jobs and other key positions.
  • The Clemson University Concrete Canoe team paddled into seventh place at this year’s 21st annual American Society of Civil Engineers' Concrete Canoe Competition in Montreal, Canada. Teams from Clemson have won three national concrete canoe titles in 15 years of participation in the event.
  • Clemson undergraduates in physics, mechanical engineering and electrical and computer engineering are regularly involved in the design, construction and testing of structures and instrumentation flown on NASA rockets and aircraft for research in the near-space environment.
